For many construction projects, extra packs of screws and wall plugs are supplied for safety reasons—including with meta partition wall systems. This ensures our installers are well-prepared for any eventuality. Consequently, surplus stock often remained, frequently requiring disposal. We have found a sustainable solution to this issue in partnership with the Westerwald-Werkstätten in Flammersfeld.
During our on-site visit, we were able to tour the warehouse and workshops and see firsthand how work is currently being carried out on one of our orders. We were particularly pleased by the employees' enthusiasm for our screw kits - the photos speak for themselves.
This collaboration creates added value on several levels:
- Reduction of excess material and waste
- Sustainable use of resources
- Support for regional social institutions
- Creation of meaningful employment and participation
Westerwald-Werkstätten, an organization affiliated with Lebenshilfe im Landkreis Altenkirchen e.V., employs around 470 people with disabilities across four locations. Its goal is to foster individual abilities and support people on their path into the workforce.
For us, this partnership is a true win-win model: sustainability and social responsibility go hand in hand.
Many thanks to the entire team at Westerwald-Werkstätten for the dedicated collaboration and warm hospitality.
